# Data Connection

The Ethernet signals from the ROVLe usually need to connect to your topside network. When you order a system you specify what type of connection you want: serial, USB, Ethernet; and if Ethernet, how long the cable should be.

We support connecting to a PC running our [SonarView](https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/sonarview/) software. We also support using the ROVLe in an [Omnitrack ](https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/omnitrack/)system.

Other connection methodologies are possible, especially with OEM systems. If you are using one of these systems your supplier is able to give you technical support.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/ethernet-rov-locator/connecting-and-powering-your-rovle-ethernet-receiver-or-transceiver/data-connection.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
