# Ethernet Connection to Transceiver (Simple)

If your receiver or transceiver:

* needs to operate over Ethernet (e.g., to use a longer connecting cable);
* needs to connect to the ROV's Ethernet network;

Then you need to provide an Ethernet power injection and a network switch to connect the transceiver / receiver to the ROV Ethernet.

There are many ways to do this, but the simplest is to use an optional Cerulean [Network Hub](https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/omniswitch-network-hub/), which provides the required data and power connections.

We support connecting to a PC running our [SonarView](https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/sonarview/) software.

The image below shows the most basic way a network hub fits into an ROV system.
