# Example DIY Power/Wi-Fi Setup for Remote Usage

The setup described here is an example of creative wiring. This setup provides power to a ROVLe receiver or transceiver and a long-range Wi-Fi link back to the ROV topside controls. It consists of:

* [A Mikrotik GrooveA 52 long range transceiver and antenna](https://bluerobotics.com/store/boat/blueboat-components-spares/blueboat-wifi-router/), compatible with the BlueBoat long-range Wi-Fi (so a BlueBoat Base Station can be connected to).
* A 14.8V Li-Ion battery pack [(this is an example)](https://web.archive.org/web/20250118061601/https://www.getfpv.com/zohd-lionpack-18650-4s1p-3500mah-14-8v-li-ion-battery.html)
* Ethernet POE injectors
* A power switch (not shown)
* A Blue Robotics watertight enclosure, sized for the Mikrotik and Li-Ion battery you pick

With relatively little custom wiring this unit can supply the POE connection to the ROVLe device. It could then be used with a remotely-deployed ROVLs topside system.
