Example DIY Power/Wi-Fi Setup for Remote Usage
The setup described here is an example of creative wiring. This setup provides power to a ROVLe receiver or transceiver and a long-range Wi-Fi link back to the ROV topside controls. It consists of:
A Mikrotik GrooveA 52 long range transceiver and antenna, compatible with the BlueBoat long-range Wi-Fi (so a BlueBoat Base Station can be connected to).
A 14.8V Li-Ion battery pack (this is an example)
Ethernet POE injectors
A power switch (not shown)
A Blue Robotics watertight enclosure, sized for the Mikrotik and Li-Ion battery you pick
With relatively little custom wiring this unit can supply the POE connection to the ROVLe device. It could then be used with a remotely-deployed ROVLs topside system.
