# Topside Float Features

The Topside float has three features you should be aware of.

## Transducer Grip

The transducer grip at the bottom of the sting grasps the mounting feature on the transducer. This is an interference fit. **Don't use the sting for leverage when inserting the Topside unit, react the force by pushing on the other side of the grip!**

## Cable Horns

The float includes a feature to help keep the transducer cable rom tangling. To use:

* Extend the sting to the desired length.
* Insert the transducer into the grip.
* Wrap the transducer cable around the sting two or three times.
* Wind the transducer cable clockwise around the horns at the bottom of the float section, and snap the cable into the cable hook.

## Tether Eyelet

Use the tether eyelet at the bottom of the float to attach a tether. Use a tether to help deploy and retrieve the assembly, and to keep the assembly from drifting off. NEVER use the transducer cable as a tether.
