# Wi-Fi Radio Option

A Wi-Fi option is available to be an access point for the Wi-Fi version of the Omnitrack. In addition to connecting the Wi-Fi Omnitrack into the network, other Wi-Fi devices such as laptops and wireless tablets can also connect to the network.

Adding the Wi-Fi options gives the Network Hub all of the capabilities of a [BaseStation](https://bluerobotics.com/store/boat/blueboat-components-spares/basestation/), plus network bridging, minus the internal battery. The internal battery is usually not required if you are using a laptop with a compliant USB-C port.

The Wi-Fi radio comes properly configured to be an access point for an Omnitrack system. If you want to change the radio configuration you can follow the instructions [here](https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/omnitrack/omnitrack-wi-fi-module-system/configuring-the-wi-fi-radios).

Once connected, there is normally no configuration required to make the Wi-Fi Omnitrack work with the Network Hub.
