In addition to connecting the Wi-Fi Omnitrack into the network, other Wi-Fi devices such as laptops and wireless tablets can also connect to the network. Adding the Wi-Fi options gives the Network Hub all of the capabilities of a [BaseStation](https://bluerobotics.com/store/boat/blueboat-components-spares/basestation/), plus network bridging, minus the internal battery. The internal battery is usually not required if you are using a laptop with a compliant USB-C port. The Wi-Fi radio comes properly configured to be an access point for an Omnitrack system. Once connected, there is normally no configuration required to make the Wi-Fi Omnitrack work with the Network Hub.
