# Assembly Step 8: Deployment Configuration

To deploy, insert the top end of the sting into the bottom of the antenna assembly. This is an intentionally snug fit. Note there is an indexing key to make sure the sting is aligned correctly in the Z axis. Use the sting retention bold and thumbscrew to lock the sting into place. Do not overtighten the string retention bolt.
