# Electrical Noise

Some ROV propulsion systems create electrical noise that can disrupt ROVL reception on an ROV. This might affect a Mk III ROVL Transponder or any of the ROVL Receivers or Transceivers mounted on an ROV or AUV. Electrical noise is a likely cause of symptoms where the system works fine when at rest, but degrades when the ROV is moving. Often the worst effects are when the ROV is running at half power. If you suspect you are having electrical noise problems, contact us at Cerulean Sonar. There is a simple solution that may clear up the problem completely.
