# Transducer Geometry

Transducer geometry is crucial for device accuracy. The three traducers all face downward at 20 degrees off vertical. Transducer A is inclined toward the bow or +X direction. Transducer B is inclined to the starboard side at 120 degrees from Transducer A. Transducer B is inclined to the port side at 120 degrees from Transducer A. Note these are the neutral position — if your mounting is rotated in any axis you can set a mounting orientation, as described [here](/c/tracker-650/coordinate-systems.md).

It is not required that the transducers be mounted in a circular pattern. They can be in tandem or abreast or in other patterns, as long as the angles are maintained.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/tracker-650/oem-kit/transducer-geometry.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
