# Transducer Mounting

**Using O-ring**: Place lubricated O-ring into the transducer groove on the backside, then direct cable entry into a waterproof vehicle enclosure.

**Without O-ring:** You must bring the transducer cable into the vehicle’s electronic enclosure, allowing waterproof cable entry into the dry section where the electronics will be mounted. For instructions on how to set-up the Sounder penetrator, please refer to Appendix A: Sounder Instructions for Penetrator.&#x20;
