Overview
The Omniswitch Network Hub is built around a five-port Ethernet switch. Alongside the switch is a boost power supply to provide power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to a Cerulean Omnitrack system, and optionally other user-supplied PoE systems.
One switch port connects to a PC via an USB-C interface (or optionally, via one of the two RJ-45 Ethernet jacks)
One switch port connects to a Blue Robotics BlueROV via a Fathom-X interface module and a Binder 700 jack. The Binder 700 is the standard tether connector used in the BlueROV. This jack is never supplied with PoE.
One switch port connects to a Cerulean Omnitrack system via a Binder 700 jack. This jack is always supplied with PoE.
Two switch ports connect to RJ-45 Ethernet jacks. The RJ-45 jacks can optionally be supplied with PoE, independently selectable.
One DC-In jack is provided for input power for the switch and PoE functions. If DC-In is provided, no PC needs to be connected to the USB port.
