Set up and power your Omnitrack ROVL per the following directions: https://docs.ceruleansonar.com/c/ethernet-rov-locator/connecting-and-powering-your-rovle-ethernet-receiver-or-transceiver
Make a connection from the POE setup to the Ethernet dongle (included) and plug the dongle into your computer. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to your computer. If your computer does not have a USB-C port, you can use a USB Type-C to A adapter.
Open the Windows Control Panel then select Network and Sharing Center. If you don’t see Network and Sharing Center, change the View by: option to large or small icons.
Select Change adapter settings from the left side menu.
The name of the interface associated with the dongle changes depending on the dongle used, and whether or not you have renamed it. You can figure out which interface is associated with the dongle by unplugging and plugging the adapter and seeing which interface appears and disappears. In the image below, the dongle is called “Realtek USB GbE Family Controller”. Right click on the Ethernet adapter then choose Properties.
In the properties dialog, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) to highlight it, then click Properties.
Select Use the following IP address And enter 192.168.2.1 for the IP address and 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet mask. Select OK. You can then exit this menu.
