Wi-Fi Configuration Specs

Power: the Wi-Fi module and ROVL requires about 6 Watts in normal operation and moderate distance from the other Wi-Fi radio. 6 watts = 400 mA at 14.8V. A 4000 mAh 14.8 V battery will last about 10 hours in normal usage.

Range: With our standard 7 dBi gain antennae (included) you can expect about 250 meters of range. Using a laptop with no external antenna at one end and the standard 7 dBi gain antenna on the Omnitrack, you can expect 20 to 30 meters of range, wide wide variations depending on the palcement and orientation of the laptop.

Band: The Wi-Fis operate in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.
