  1. Overview

Input Devices

CeruleanTracker connects to one or more of the following:

  • Optionally, a “Topside” GPS, which is a GPS not attached to the ROV. The Topside GPS is needed if you want to see ROV Locator outputs in latitude and longitude. If this is the case, the Topside GPS antenna should be close to the ROV Locator receiver. The Topside GPS can also display the location of the boat or launch platform on the CeruleanMap App. Connection to a Topside GPS is always via a COM port.

  • Optionally, a Cerulean ROV Locator Receiver. Connection to an ROVL-RX is always via a COM port.

  • Optionally, a Cerulean DVL-75. Connection to a Topside GPS is via a COM port or an Ethernet connection. We recommend using Ethernet if available as it is much faster than COM ports, and because the DVL data can be shared to any PC on the network.

  • Alternatively to a DVL-75, a DVL-50 can be attached for firmware updating and setting sticky options.

At least one of either the ROV Locator Receiver or the DVL-75 must be connected to compute ROV position.
