An Ethernet-capable ROV Locator receiver or transceiver is needed for all Omnitrack systems. You can use either a ROVL system.

We strongly recommend the Mk III variant for Omnitrack because it simplifies field operation. A Mk III does not require periodic exposure to GPS signals to maintain timebase synchronization between the topside and ROV-mounted components.

Older versions of the ROV Locator do not include Ethernet or GNSS compass interfaces and cannot be used in an Omnitrack system. It is possible to upgrade an older ROV Locator receiver or transceiver to be Omnitrack-capable. Contact Cerulean Sonar for details.
